Three Naxalites killed in encounter with security forces in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma
The district reserve guard (DRG) personnel launched a search operation following information on the presence of Maoist cadres in the area. An intermittent exchange of fire ensued between the Maoists and the DRG forces after the police spotted the naxals.
Kothagudem: Three Maoists were reportedly killed in an encounter in the forests of Gollapalli in Sukma district in Chhattisgarh on Thursday.
The district reserve guard (DRG) personnel launched a search operation following information on the presence of Maoist cadres in the area. An intermittent exchange of fire ensued between the Maoists and the DRG forces after the police spotted the naxals.
After the firing was stopped, three bodies of Maoists were found. The police recovered the bodies along with firearms from the encounter spot, sources said.
