Three notorious burglars arrested in Telangana’s Adilabad

Adilabad police arrested three notorious thieves for stealing Rs 1.40 lakh and 1 kg of silver jewellery from a commercial complex at Dasnapur. The accused—Moiz, Sai Kumar and Kaleem—confessed to multiple property offences. Police recovered cash, a two-wheeler and mobile phones

Adilabad: Three notorious thieves were arrested on the charges of burgling Rs 1.40 lakh in cash and a kilogramme of silver jewellery from a commercial complex at Dasnapur in the town recently. Police recovered Rs 49,149, a two-wheeler and three mobile phones from the three.

Police said that Mohammad Moiz, an auto-rickshaw driver from Adilabad town; K Sai Kumar, a daily wage earner, and Shaik Kaleem, a painter, both belonging to Nirmal district, were apprehended for lifting the cash and jewellery by breaking open an iron almirah after gaining entry into a commercial complex and a temple in Gokul Industrial Area in the town on November 25.


On being interrogated, the three confessed to committing the crime by forming a gang to lead a lavish lifestyle. Sai and Kaleem revealed that they were involved in several property-related crimes. Moiz admitted to having been booked in 60 offences that occurred in different parts of the district.
