Three officials including sub registrar nabbed by ACB while taking bribe in Jagtial

As Ravi took the bribe based on the instructions of the sub-registrar, ACB arrested Asifuddin. A document writer Ravi was also arrested in connection with the same case.

Jagtial: Anti-Corruption Bureau officials on Wednesday arrested the Metpalli sub-registrar, an attender and a document writer for demanding bribe from a land owner.

According to ACB, a resident of Thimmapur of Metpalli mandal, Sunke Vishnu approached the sub-registrar Asifuddin to mortgage his 266 yards of land. The official allegedly demanded Rs.10,000 as bribe and accepted to take Rs.5,000. Vishnu was asked to meet attender Banothu Ravi, an outsourcing employee.

Vishnu then approached the ACB, who laid a trap and nabbed Ravi while accepting Rs.5,000 amount from the victim in the sub-registrar office. As Ravi took the bribe based on the instructions of the sub-registrar, ACB arrested Asifuddin. A document writer Ravi was also arrested in connection with the same case.
