Khammam: The one-town police arrested three persons of a YouTube channel for extortion based on a complaint by a private hospital management.
An official statement here on Wednesday said that the YouTube channel CEO Puchhakayalu Prakash, bureau chief Athuluri Ramakrishna alias Ranky and assistant cameraman Sk Baba were booked in extortion case and sent to judicial remand.
The trio was accused of threatening the hospital management in Khammam by creating fake news to harm the hospital reputation. They demanded the management Rs 5 lakh as advertisement annually to stop the news from being uploaded on their channel, the statement added.
