Three traders booked for diversion of PDS rice in Asifabad

Police in Kumram Bheem Asifabad booked three traders for allegedly diverting PDS rice in Jainoor mandal. A total of 64 quintals of rice was seized during inspections, and investigations have been launched into the illegal activity.

Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Three traders were booked for alleged diversion of rice meant for the public distribution system in Jainoor mandal centre on Tuesday. Police seized 64 quintals of PDS rice from them.

Police said that a case was registered against Bathane Gopal, Mutyaluwar Ramesh and Taufiq Badwani from Jainoor for diverting rice during inspections carried out by the police. While Gopal was found to have stored 40 quintals of rice, Ramesh and Taufiq had 13 quintals and 11 quintals of rice respectively. Investigations have been taken up.
