Three-year-old girl drowns in water tank in Hanamkonda
Reports indicate that the child, Asmika, was playing with her sister near a water tank close to their home when she accidentally fell in. With their parents, who are daily wage earners, away at work, there was no one to help her. Although her sister alerted the neighbors, it was too late, and Asmika had already drowned.
Warangal: A three-year-old girl on Sunday died after accidentally falling into a water tank in Ratnagiri village of Bhimadevarapalli mandal of Hanamkonda district.
According to reports, the child, Asmika, was playing along with her sister near a water tank situated near her residence, when she accidentally fell into it. As her parents, daily wagers, had gone for work, there was no one to save her. Her sister alerted their neighbours, but it was too late as Ashmika had already died.
The locals informed the police, who shifted the body to the government hospital for postmortem. A case was registered and investigation is underway.
