Hyderabad: People in Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana can expect relief from warm weather conditions as the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, on Thursday morning issued a thunderstorm warning accompanied by gusty winds across the State for the next three days.
A considerable drop in maximum temperatures is expected by Thursday afternoon and evening as thunderstorm activity is expected to gain strength in the city and surrounding districts.
According to the IMD bulletin, “Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) are very likely to occur at isolated places over Telangana. Light to moderate rain is also expected in several areas.”
The initial thunderstorm warning remains in effect from September 17 to 20. Following this, the weather department has issued a subsequent heavy rainfall warning for districts across Telangana from September 21 to 24.
