Thunderstorms will continue to hold sway till next week in Telangana
Thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds are keeping temperatures in Hyderabad and several Telangana districts below the usual April heat levels. The IMD has forecast such weather conditions to continue till April 9 due to a trough across the peninsula.

Hyderabad: The initial days of April are turning out to be quite unusual with the absence of blistering dry heat and soaring temperatures, all thanks to thundershowers, lightning and gusty winds in Hyderabad.
On Friday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad yet again issued a forecast of thunderstorms and lightning in several districts, including Hyderabad and its neighbouring districts, till April 9. The maximum temperatures across Telangana are expected to range between 36 degree Celsius and 40 degree Celsius.
The National Weather Forecasting Centre of IMD, New Delhi in a weather bulletin on Friday said that it has identified a trough (a line of low pressure) that is currently cutting through the peninsula. Specifically it runs from interior Tamil Nadu to Karnataka, thus influencing weather in Telangana.
Meanwhile, IMD, Hyderabad forecast has issued thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds warning for Adilabad, KomuramBheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri and Nagarkurnool districts.
While all districts will experience temperatures ranging between 36 and 40 degree Celsius, on April 7, a total of 11 districts including Warangal, Suryapet, Peddapalle, Nalgonda, Mulugu, Khammam, Karimnagar, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Hanumakonda and Bhadradri Kothagudem will experience maximum temperatures of less than 36 degree Celsius.
