Kothagudem: Tight security arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of Bhadradri Mukkoti Ekadasi celebrations, Superintendent of Police B Rohit Raju said on Wednesday.
The SP held a meeting with the police officers who were assigned sector-wise duties at Bhadrachalam. He asked the officials to ensure that no untoward incident takes place during the Teppotsavam and Vaikunta Dwaradarshan to be held on January 9 and 10.
As many as 1,300 policemen were deployed on security duties at the temple. The public should cooperate with the police as traffic restrictions were imposed in view of the celebrations, the SP said.
Speaking to the media, district Collector Jitesh V Patil said that all arrangements have been completed for Teppotsavam and Uttara Dwaradarshan.
He told on-duty officers of all sectors to report at 3 am on January 10. There was a possibility of a large number of devotees taking part in Mukkoti Ekadasi celebrations this time, he added.
