Tight security, prohibitory orders imposed at Jangaon municipal office

Jangaon: In the wake of the election of municipal chairperson, tight security has been put in place at the Jangaon municipal office, said Commissioner of Police Sunpreet Singh.

As part of maintaining peace and security, prohibitory orders under Section 163 of BNS have been imposed within 200 metres of the municipal office. The prohibitory orders would be in effect from 6 am on Tuesday to 6 am on Wednesday, he said, adding that gathering of five or more people would be an offence.
