Nalgonda: CPI (M) State secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram on Wednesday said that it was time for Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to fight against the Centre to protect the interests of the State.
Addressing the district-level meeting of the party in Nalgonda, Veerabhadram said, “Anti-people policies initiated by the Central government have created hardships to the common people in the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi failed to solve issues of farmers, working class. The unemployment problem was also increased drastically in the last seven years,” The people struggled to get medical services during the Covid pandemic due to failure of the Centre in tackling the situation, he reminded.
Referring to the decision of the Centre not to procure paddy from the farmers, he suggested to the Telangana leaders to stage a dharna in New Delhi. He urged the Chief Minister to convene an all-party meeting to discuss the steps to mount pressure on the Centre.
