Tiny tots steal the show on Graduation Day

Delhi Public School, Nadergul celebrated virtually Graduation Day Ceremony of prep children, titled “Rios De La India, our Lifelines”. It took the audience across the Indian peninsular to visit the different rivers. Each class represented a different river, namely Ganga, Godavari, Krishna, Brahmaputra, Narmada and Indus.
The ceremony commenced with the prayer song and lighting of the lamp to evoke the blessings of the Almighty. The parents gathered in large numbers to congratulate the shining stars of the day. Speaking on the occasion, school Principal Padma Jyothi Turaga congratulated the parents and blessed the children. She urged the children to continue with their efforts in grade one and not to forget the values learnt. Chief guest Swati Sharma, author and festival director Noida International Literature Festival in her address, complimented the graduates on their achievements and the teachers for their dedication and hard work in shaping the students through education and other co-curricular activities.
The programme started with a vibrant dance where the six ‘rivers’ danced to the tunes of ‘Rivers wide, rivers long’, and set the mood for the programme. The tiny tots performed with great panache, which was well appreciated by the audience. The conferment of degrees was in the form of class albums describing each child, a special souvenir from their class teachers. Head girl Naineeka Samatha spoke on behalf of the prep children thanking the Principal and teachers. The event ended with the coordinator of grade 1 welcoming the prep graduates to the portals of Grade 1.
