Hyderabad: To expand the reach of its services in areas of technology, education and other sectors across the State, the Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) appointed new secretaries and joint secretaries. Software Sharadha, who was in news recently for her decision to support her family by taking up vegetable vending jobs after losing her software job due to Covid-19, has been appointed as secretary of the association.

This time around, TITA appointed zonal in-charge secretaries as part of the expansion of services.

Recently, IT Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan had directed District Collectors to allot working space for TITA in all district headquarters of collectorates saying it will help the benefits of initiatives taken up by TITA in various sectors reach the masses.

The proposed working station in tier-2 and tier-3 cities will help in attracting investments with the support of TITA’s 30 Overseas Chapters. For better coordination of work at the grassroots, TITA has formed inclusive teams with a blend of new and old and encouraging women leadership. Apart from this, the association has ensured that the new teams have representation from all districts.

TITA Global President Sundeep Kumar Makthala said that the new appointment will help the association in expanding the services and ensuring the same reaches the masses. The association will work to attract investments and startups in tier-2 and tier-3 cities and the new work stations in districts will work in this direction, he added.
