Mancherial: Members of the Telangana Non-Gazetted Officers’ (TNGO) Association Mancherial district chapter expressed gratitude to Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for extending the ambitious Dalit Bandhu scheme to government employees and retired staffers belonging to weaker sections.
They performed Ksheerabhishekam to portrait of the Chief Minister and architect of Indian constitution Dr Br Ambedkar here on Tuesday.
Gadiyaram Srihari, president, said that Chandrashekhar Rao said that the scheme would usher in the financial empowerment of Dalit communities. He opined that the Chief Minister created history by rolling the innovative initiative for weaker sections for the first time in the country. He stated that employees would be indebted to him forever.
TNGO Forest Forum president Ponna Mallaiah, TNGO joint secretaries Sunitha and Prabhu, Mancherial town unit president Gopal, his counterparts from Bellampalli, Anjaiah, Padmalatha of Mandamarri and Abhishek, secretary of Chennur unit were present.
