At an age where a toddler is just beginning to make sense of the world around him, here is a story of a talented boy who has already bagged two records as a two-year-old.

All of 2 years, Hyderabadi boy Devaansh Surpur can recognise deities, car logos, colours, all English alphabets, domestic and wild animals, professions, body parts, flags, fruits, home appliances, among others.

His sharp memory has garnered him an entry in Bravo International Book of World Records and India Book of Records for his memory skills, at the age of two. He is also nominated for Global Kids Achievers Award 2020.

His natural ability to recognise things from their images was first spotted by his mother when she saw him identifying images of different Gods effortlessly.

“Devaansh’s abilities have not only given him recognition locally, but his name has spread far and wide. He has attained global recognition and has also been certified by the prestigious ‘Bravo International Book of World Records’.

Children of his age would be busy learning nursery rhymes or listening to lullabies, but Devaansh can identify diverse images of colours, animals, flag, fruits, shapes and electronic home appliances,” says Swathi, Devaansh’s mother. His father is of the opinion that it’s better to inspire children, than control them.

“We always encourage Devaansh to feel excited about his interests. This will help him develop a sense of pride and self-confidence,” says his father.

Devaansh also practices yoga along with his dad and recently learnt the Gayatri Mantra. “He also takes part in colony events which makes me feel proud as a mother when I see people praising my son,” signs off Swathi.
