Tomato-laden truck overturns in Hyderabad’s Attapur
The truck, on its way from Mehdipatnam towards Rajendranagar, went out of control when the driver allegedly attempted to take a diversion at Dairy Farm; police suspect rash driving led to the accident
Hyderabad: A truck laden with tomatoes turned turtle at Attapur in Rajendranagar on Thursday. No casualties were reported. Police suspect rash driving led to the accident.
The loaded truck, on its way from Mehdipatnam towards Rajendranagar, went out of control due to high speed when the driver allegedly attempted to take a diversion at Dairy Farm. As the truck fell, several crates loaded with tomatoes fell all over the road.
On receiving information, the Attapur police reached the spot and shifted the truck with the help of an earth mover. The tomato crates were shifted to the roadside.
The incident led to a traffic jam on the busy route. The police took measures to prevent motorists from skidding and cleared the traffic.
