Top amateurs tee off at IGU Andhra Pradesh Golf Championship

Hyderabad: The country’s top amateurs, including Order of Merit leader Anshul Mishra, have assembled in Visakhapatnam for the IGU Andhra Pradesh Amateur Golf Championship, which gets underway at the East Point Golf Club on Tuesday.
Although the course is playing long, putting is expected to be the key as the undulating greens are slightly on the slower side. “The player who reads and judges the speed of the greens better will be the last one standing,” was the common refrain among golfers.
The first four events on the IGU calendar have seen four different winners, all of whom are in contention this week.
