Hyderabad: TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud said injustice was meted out to Telangana in the union budget and questioned the BJP over its promises made to the State people.

He slammed that the BJP showered projects and funds to Bihar with an eye on elections. The BJP was using the union budget to derive political mileage, the TPCC president said here on Saturday.

The State government had submitted several representations to the union government over railway projects, bifurcation assurances, national status to Palamuru Rangareddy Lift Irrigation project, Bayyaram coach factory and others, he pointed out.

Telangana contributes nearly Rs.40,000 crore to the Centre through GST and in tune the union government should release funds to the State, he added.
