Trader held for diverting PDS rice in Adilabad

A trader was arrested in Indervelli Mandal, Adilabad, for diverting Public Distribution System rice. Police seized 150 quintals of rice and handed it over to civil supplies authorities for further action.

Adilabad: A trader was arrested on charges of diverting PDS (Public Distribution System) rice in Indervelli mandal centre on Wednesday. Police seized 150 quintals of PDS rice.

Police said that Chintawar Santosh was apprehended for diverting PDS rice. Santosh was found storing the grains and profiting by selling the same during inspections held by the police. The rice was handed over to civil supplies for further action.
