Traffic advisory for Hyderabad Marathon

Hyderabad: In view of Hyderabad Marathon-2021 to be held at PVNR Marg on Sunday, the Hyderabad Traffic Police have placed certain restriction in their limits. The run, which starts at 4.30 am, is scheduled to end at the GMC Balayogi Stadium in Gachibowli at 9 am.

Accordingly, traffic from VV statue towards Khairatabad flyover and Necklace Rotary will be diverted towards Shadan and Nirankari Bhavan and vehicles from Iqbal Minar towards upper Tank Bund will be diverted towards Telugu Thalli flyover. Similarly, vehicles from Liberty towards Upper Tank Bund will be diverted towards Telugu Thalli flyover.


Traffic from Karbala Maidan towards upper Tank Bund will be diverted towards DBR and traffic from Kavadiguda X Road, will not be allowed towards Hyderabad Sailing Club. Vehicles from DBR Mills will not be allowed towards Children Park. Similarly, traffic from Minister Road and Ranigunj will be diverted towards Nallagutta Bridge.

When the Marathon reaches Necklace Rotary, traffic from Begumpet towards Raj Bhavan will be diverted towards Ameerpet till the Marathon reaches KBR Park Junction.

Officials said when Marathon reaches Punjagutta flyover, the traffic coming from Punjagutta towards Banjara Hills will be diverted at NFCL Island towards Road No.1, Banjara Hills till the Marathon goes beyond KBR Park Junction.

When Marathon reaches Hyderabad Gymkhana Club, traffic towards Film Nagar will be diverted towards Jubilee Hills Road No.70 and will not be allowed towards Jubilee Hills Road No.45. When the Marathon reaches beyond Jubilee Hills check post towards Madhapur , traffic from Venkatagiri ‘T’ Junction, KBR Park will be diverted towards Banjara Huills Road No.2.
