Hyderabad: Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) Regional Office, Hyderabad organised a Central Zone regional workshop for ‘Capacity Building’ of telecom consumer organisations registered with TRAI in Hyderabad.

In the awareness session, detailed discussions were held on telecommunications, broadcasting rules, consumer rights, recent instructions, consultations and regulations of TRAI and cyber security awareness.

The programme was attended by representatives of telecom consumer organisations from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha and Chattisgarh along with the major telecom companies Airtel, BSNL, Jio and Vodafone Idea of these four States. Representatives of all the consumer organisations and telecom companies gave presentations in the programme.

B Praveen Kumar ITS, Advisor, TRAI Regional Office, K V Suresh Babu ITS, Joint Advisor, TRAI Regional Office, M Jagadish Babu, Project Manager, C-DAC, Arvind Kumar, Director (Security), DoT, AP LSA, Senior Research Officers Ch Bhiksham and M Venkatapathi from TRAI, Dr M Jagadish Babu, Project Manager-ISEA, C-DAC, Hyderabad, Consumer Advocacy groups (CAGs) and Telecom service providers were present.
