Transco staff brave floodwaters to restore power supply in Peddapalli
Amid heavy rains in Peddapalli, Transco staff restored power supply to Basanthnagar after an 11 KV feeder line fell into a water body. Using a country boat, linemen carried out emergency repairs despite dangerous conditions, earning appreciation from officials.
Peddapalli: Transco staff restored power supply by repairing damaged electricity lines under risky conditions near Eesalathakkallapally in Palakurthy mandal on Friday.
An 11 KV feeder line supplying Basanthnagar was cut off and fell into a water body following continuous rains for the past 24 hours. On receiving information, Transco staff from Eesalathakkallapally rushed to the spot to take up emergency repairs.
With the tank filled to the brim, the staff reached the damaged section in a country boat and carried out the work, braving floodwaters. Assistant Engineer Manala Prasad appreciated their efforts in restoring supply despite the danger involved.
