Hyderabad: Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Wednesday asked the officials concerned to transfer the Rs 200 crore sanctioned for Self-Help Groups into their bank accounts under the first phase.
To encourage SHGs that were facing problems because of Covid-19, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao sanctioned Rs 200 crore. Reviewing the implementation of various schemes under Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, and Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP), the Minister said the government would pay the interest of bank linkage on loans taken by SHGs and as part of this, the government has sanctioned the amount.
The Minister instructed officials to submit a detailed report on roads that were either damaged completely or developed potholes in the recent rains. The officials should immediately take up repairs to damaged roads to reduce inconvenience to pedestrians and motorists.
Dayakar Rao said the employees working in SERP got 30 per cent hike and thanked the Chief Minister in this regard. Officials working in the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development department, and SERP should ensure that the problems being faced by the staff should be resolved.
