Tribal woman dies of anemia in Telangana’s Adilabad

She delivered a baby 43 days ago

Adilabad: A tribal woman, who recently gave birth to a baby, died allegedly of anemia, at Lakkaram village in Utnoor mandal on Saturday.

Family members alleged that Athram Srividya (23) from Udumpur village died of anemia. She delivered a baby 43 days ago. However, officials of the medical and health department said that Srividya was diagnosed with a certain cardio-related ailment and was undergoing treatment at RIMS-Adilabad.

She was referred to visit MGM Hospital in Warangal. Her family members were reluctant to admit her to the hospital, the officials informed.
