Mancherial: Mancherial MLA N Diwakar Rao said that the government was implementing a wide range of schemes including social security pensions for the welfare of differently-abled persons in the State.
He along with Peddapalli MP Dr B Venkatesh Netha, MLC Puranam Satheesh Kumar and Collector Bharati Hollikeri handed over battery-run tricycles to 128 eligible differently-abled persons here on Friday.
Venkatesh Netha and Bharathi requested everyone to extend support to differently-abled persons and to take the responsibility of empowering them. District Welfare Officer Uma Devi, Zilla Parishad vice-chairperson K Sathyanarayana, Mancherial municipality vice-chairperson Mukhesh Goud, ICDS organizer Athili Saroja and many officials were present.
