Trinadha Rao’s comments: Actor Anshu urges netizens ‘to put all of this to bed’

It is already known that the director of the film, Trinadha Rao Nakkina, courted controversy because of his distasteful remarks about the actor. Anshu has now shared a video message asking everyone "to put the episode to bed"

Hyderabad: Telugu actor Anshu, who has captured audiences’ hearts for her performance in Nagarjuna-starrer ‘Manmadhudu’, is making a comeback after 20 years with the upcoming movie ‘Mazaka’. The film, which also stars Sundeep Kishan, Ritu Varma and Rao Ramesh in lead roles, had the teaser release event recently.

It is already known that the director of the film, Trinadha Rao Nakkina, courted controversy because of his distasteful remarks about the actor while speaking about the movie on the stage. The filmmaker has come under ire as the netizens took to social media and expressed their displeasure over his sexist remarks.

The Telangana State Women’s Commission has taken objection to his comments and decided to send him a notice. However, before that could happen, Rao, in a video message, tendered an apology to all women, and actor Anshu in particular, for hurting their sentiments.

Now, Anshu has shared a video message asking everyone “to put the episode to bed”. In her message, she said, “I feel blessed and lucky for the response for the teaser launch of Mazaka and for all the love. It was a spectacular evening and I’ve been flooded with so many lovely messages, phone calls and I’m very grateful to the media as well. I know that some stories were out because of Trinadha garu’s comments. I really want to assure you all that he is the loveliest man on the planet. And I believe his words may have been taken out of context.”

 

Adding further, she said, “He has treated me as a member of his family. I’ve worked with him for 60 days and I have been given nothing but respect and love and lots of good wishes. So, please everybody if you could put this to bed because I’m so excited for the movie and I feel we should all watch the film for the right reasons. Trinadha sir has been an absolute pleasure to work with and I couldn’t have asked for a better director to bring me back to the Telugu film industry and I’m very grateful that he has been guiding me through this process and I’ve nothing but love and gratitude for him, and the entire team.”

Anshu concluded her message by wishing everyone a lovely Sankranti and said that she is happy to be back during this festival.
