Hyderabad: Marri Laxman Reddy Institute of Technology (MLRIT), Hyderabad, organised Trishna’21, a national level online college fest. The event was spread over four days with a grand finale held on June 12 and 13.
Speaking to the media, the institute secretary, Marri Rajasekhar Reddy said the main aim behind conducting the event was to bring out creativity and talent among the youth which was disconnected during the pandemic. He emphasised that online events will be the next big thing in 2021.
He said MLRIT was the first college in south India to organise an online national level fest which provided a platform to students from schools and colleges to participate and explore from the comfort of their home.
Event co-ordinator, Radhika Devi said a total of 17 events in technical and cultural categories were conducted online with the registrations crossing 4,000.
Participants from Delhi, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh gave a tough fight with their art and talent. Prizes worth Rs 3.50 lakh were distributed to the winners of all the events, MLRIT said.
