TRS Australia leader dies in accident in Warangal
According to the police, Sathya Rao, who was a native of Lakshmipuram village of Parkal mandal, was living in Bhavani Nagar of Hanamkonda for some time now.

Warangal Urban: In a tragic incident, TRS Australia, Vice-President Gurijapally Sathya Rao (40) died in a road accident on the outskirts of the Ambala village of Kamalapur mandal in the district on Sunday night. One Dhanaboina Veeraswamy (52) of Dharmaram village of Nadikuda mandal also died in the same incident.
According to the police, Sathya Rao, who was a native of Lakshmipuram village of Parkal mandal, was living in Bhavani Nagar of Hanamkonda for some time now. Sathya Rao, who was constructing a check-dam by taking a contract at Lakshmipuram village, was returning to Bhavani Nagar on a bike after inspecting the works. When he reached the outskirts of the Ambala village, his bike and Veeraswamy’s bike collided each other in the opposite direction. Due to the impact of the collision, both Sathya Rao and Veeraswamy died on the spot, while Veeraswamy’s friend Bojjam Anandham, who was pillion riding, sustained injuries.
After knowing about the incident, TRS MLA from Parkal, Challa Dharma Reddy visited the spot and also talked to MGM hospital doctors to provide good treatment to Bojjam Anandham. He also consoled the father of Sathya Rao and other family members. Sathya Rao’s father Prakash Rao is also a TRS party leader. The last rites of Sathya Rao were held in Hanamkonda on Monday.
Several TRS leaders from Warangal and Parkal attended the funeral. According to Sathya Rao’s relatives, he worked in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, for some time and returned to Warangal before Covid-19 lockdown. He did his B.Tech from Ellenki College of Engineering and Technology ( ECET), Medak, and worked in London too before moving to Australia. Sathya Rao is survived by wife and a daughter.
Meanwhile, TRS leaders including President at TRS, Australia, president Kasarla Nagender Reddy and others expressed grief over the untimely death of Sathya Rao.
