TRS cadre, farmer sound ‘Chavu Dappu’ to BJP protesting against anti-farmer policies

Warangal: People in large numbers led by the TRS party leaders have staged dharnas, and other forms of protests including the ‘Chavu Dappu’ processions against the BJP led Central government for its anti-farmer policies including its denial of paddy procurement for the Yasangi from Telangana. While Minister Satyvathi Rathod led the protests at the agriculture market yard in Mahabubabad town, Narsampet MLA Peddi Sudharshan Reddy has participated in the protests at Chennaraopet mandal centre in Warangal district on Monday. MLA Sudhashan Reddy demanded that the Centre must come with a statement on the procurement of the paddy for both the Vaankalam as well as the Yasangi seasons for the benefit of the farmers.
A huge rally has been organised from Kadpikonda bridge to Kazipet by the farmers led by Warangal West MLA and Government Chief Whip Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar.
Meanwhile, the TRS party activists have taken out a Chavu Dappu procession at Kothapally village of Wardhannapet mandal and burnt the effigy of the BJP led government at the Centre. The farmers have demanded the Centre to immediately issue a categorical statement on the purchase of the quantity of the paddy grain from Telangana.
