Nalgonda: TRS candidate for Nalgonda Local Authorities MLC seat M C Koti Reddy on Tuesday filed his nomination to Returning Officer and the district Collector Prashant Jeevan Patil in his chamber at the district Collectorate.

Accompanied by Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy and Nagarjuna Sagar MLA Nomula Bhagath, the TRS MLC candidate submitted a set of nomination papers to the Returning Office. The TRS leaders were also separately submitted another sets of nominations to the Returning Officer on behalf of Koti Reddy.

Speaking after filing his nomination, Koti Reddy said that the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has provided an opportunity to him to contest in the MLC election by showing confidence on him. He made it clear that he would win in the elections with a huge majority of votes. After coming to power in the newly formed Telangana state in 2014, TRS has been giving equal importance to the welfare and development. The schemes taken up by the TRS government for the welfare of women, old aged and farmers have attracted the attention of the entire country, he added.

TRS candidate will have a cake walk victory

Jagdish Reddy s aid that the Chief Minister has provided an opportunity to Koti Reddy and fulfilled his promise. The Chief Minister has stood erstwhile nalgonda district, which was earlier drought-hit, on top in paddy production by improving irrigation facility. The initiatives of the state governments have also solved the fluoride issue in Nalgonda district. The Centre was also announced in its report that no new fluorosis case was reported in the district in the last few years.

Earlier, Energy Minister was extended B-form of the TRS to Koti Reddy at a programme held in Nalgonda MLA Camp Office. MPPs, ZPTCs, MPTCs, Municipal chairpersons and councilors from erstwhile Nalgonda district attended the programme.

MLCs Gutha Sukhender Reddy and Thakkelapally Ravinder Rao, MLAs N Bhasker Rao, Gadari Kishore, Kancherla Bhupal Reddy, Ravindra Kumar Naik and Chirumarthi Lingaiah were also present.
