Hyderabad: The TRS leaders on Monday laid siege to Rail Nilayam in Secunderabad protesting against the Central government’s attitude in delaying railway coach factory in Kazipet.

The leaders led by the State Planning Board vice-chairman B Vinod Kumar squatted in front of the Rail Nilayam building and raised slogans against the Centre for adopting anti-people policies. He demanded that the Centre sanction funds for the coach factory in the current budget.

Apart from sanctioning funds for the coach factory, the Centre should establish Bayyaram steel plant and lay railway lines and national highways in the State as promised in Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act. Government chief whip D Vinay Bhaskar said the TRS leaders would not allow BJP leaders to step into Warangal if the Centre fails to establish the coach factory. Vinod Kumar and others later submitted a memorandum to in-charge general manager.
