Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MLAs, Ministers and government employees on Thursday condemned the conspiracy to kill Tourism Minister V Srinivas Goud and demanded that stringent action be taken against those involved in the plans.
Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister E Dayakar Rao condemned the conspiracy and said there was no scope for violence in democracy. To assault or plan an attack on an elected public representative was deplorable. Under Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s leadership, erstwhile Palamoor was forging ahead in development and one should not attempt to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere in the district, he said.
The Minister wanted the police department to conduct a comprehensive probe into the incident and make all the findings public.
PUC Chairman Jeevan Reddy wondered how the arrested persons stayed at the former MP A Jithender Reddy’s residence in New Delhi. “Telangana Government will not tolerate such conspiracies and stringent punishment will be given to persons, irrespective of their political statures,” said Jeevan Reddy here on Thursday.
Unable to face TRS politically, opposition parties’ leaders were stooping down to new lows and this was highly unacceptable, he said, adding “I appeal to police to book cases on former Minister DK Aruna and former MP A Jithender Reddy,”
Meanwhile, Telangana Revenue Officers Association members have appealed to Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar and incharge DGP Anjani Kumar to initiate stringent action against all the persons, who were involved the conspiracy.
