Hyderabad: State Election Commissioner (SEC) C Parthasarathi along with AP, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Mizoram SECs, discussed the measures taken by the Election Commission for the smooth conduct of Chandigarh Municipal Corporation elections.

He along with five other SECs was appointed by Standing Committee of All State Election Commissioners as Special Observers to oversee the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation elections.

Parthasarathi and others monitored the polling process at different polling stations and expressed satisfaction. Later, they also inspected arrangements at Distribution, Reception and Counting Centres, besides seeking details on the security measures at the strong rooms.
