Hyderabad: Aadhaar card is mandatory for carrying out transactions pertaining to registration of non-agriculture properties in the State, Revenue department officials said on Friday.
From Friday, the State government commenced booking of slots for registration of non-agriculture properties following directions from the High Court. The actual registrations will start from December 14. Registration fee can either be paid online or through a challan but no registration can be done without booking a slot.
Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, who launched the slot booking for registrations here on Friday, said a control room has been set up with over 100 officials to ensure smooth conduct of transactions. Necessary steps were also being taken for protection of data. The slot booking facility commenced in as many as 12,750 sub-registration offices across the State.
According to Somesh Kumar, only 24 slots could be booked in each registration office and from now onwards, owners can book slots for transactions pertaining to gift deeds, sale and mortgage, among others. As of now, 96 per cent of the services had started and efforts are to launch the others too soon.
After completing the registration, people can obtain the documents immediately. A separate facility will be created for those who do not possess Aadhaar cards. A call centre (18005994788) with 24 lines has also been launched to help people with information pertaining to the registration process.
