Govt gave administrative approval for the O&M of Mahatma Gandhi Kalwakurthy Lift Irrigation Scheme (MGKLIS), lift-I (stage-1)
Hyderabad: The State government on Saturday accorded administrative approval for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of three irrigation projects in Telangana.
After careful examination of the proposal of the Engineer-in-Chief (Irrigation), the government gave administrative approval for the O&M of Mahatma Gandhi Kalwakurthy Lift Irrigation Scheme (MGKLIS), lift-I (stage-1) for the years 2020-2021, 2021-22 and 2022-2023 for an amount of Rs.13.54 crore.
The approval was also given to the stage-I and II of Jawahar Nettempadu Lift Irrigation Scheme for the years 2020-2023 for an amount of Rs.15.90 crore and Vempally, Nawab and Bodepally pump houses under SRSP stage-I for period from August 1, 2020 to July 31, 2022 for Rs.4.28 crore.
The approvals were given subject to certain conditions including the provisions made/correctness of quantities before according technical sanction, the provision towards replacement/repairs of major spare parts costing more than Rs.5,000 for reimbursement to the agency should be as per actual expenditure after obtaining permission of the department and to follow due procurement procedures and to keep sufficient funds in year to year budget.
