Hyderabad: Telangana State Electricity Regulatory Commission (TSERC) Chairman T Sriranga Rao along with a 20-member team on Thursday visited south India’s biggest waste to energy plant of 19.8MW and India’s largest landfill gas-to-compressed biogas plant at Hyderabad Integrated Municipal Solid Waste (HiMSW) site.
The site was developed and maintained by the Ramky Enviro Engineers Limited. A press release here said the main purpose of the visit was to get insight into the functioning of the plants.
The company engineers explained in detail to team members about its industrial automation and energy-saving solutions of the plant, lab facilities, plant processes, technologies used to reduce emission, biogas and water treatment plants, and various policies of the organization to enhance the capacity.
The TSERC and Ramky Enviro Engineers Ltd engaged in a discussion to share ideas regarding implementing latest technologies and environment solutions. During the visit, the delegates were keen to understand the waste to energy solutions including process of handling the ash, emissions and biogas plant.
