TSPCB to promote clay Ganesh idols across Telangana
The Telangana State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB) will distribute over 3.2 lakh eco-friendly clay Ganesh idols in Hyderabad and districts for Vinayaka Chaturthi. Minister Konda Surekha launched the campaign, which also includes workshops and awareness programmes promoting sustainable festive practices

Hyderabad: Over 3.2 lakh eco-friendly clay Ganesh idols will be distributed within GHMC limits and across districts by the Telangana State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB) ahead of the upcoming Vinayaka Chaturthi festivities.
The TSPCB is also taking up a series of environmental awareness activities to promote clay idols, including workshops on idol-making for school and college students. Posters are being displayed on autos and stage performances in temples are being organised to encourage eco-friendly practices.
On Saturday, Minister Konda Surekha unveiled the campaign posters promoting eco-friendly clay Ganesh idols for the festivities beginning on August 27.
