TSRTC driver takes poison in front of bus depot in Hyderabad, dies
According to the police, ST Reddy, who was a driver with the Ranigunj Bus Depot 1 had come to the bus depot in the morning and consumed some poisonous substance.
Hyderabad: A TSRTC driver consumed poison in front of the Ranigunj bus depot in Secunderabad on Tuesday morning. He died later in hospital.
According to the police, ST Reddy, who was a driver with the Ranigunj Bus Depot 1 had come to the bus depot in the morning and consumed some poisonous substance.
“He was upset over not being given duty for the last one week following disciplinary proceedings. He consumed some poisonous substance he had brought along and was shifted to hospital where he died,” SS Saidulu, SHO (Ramgopalpet) said.
On coming to know about the incident, Reddy’s relatives reached the bus station and along with union leaders, spoke to the management. They alleged that since early this month, Reddy was not allotted duty.
The police have booked a case and are investigating.
