The State Government is working onto develop the Lower Manair River Front Development with adventure and amusement themes
Hyderabad: The State Government’s efforts to execute Lower Manair River Front Development project are gaining momentum with Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation (TSTDC) inviting agencies for providing comprehensive services for master plans, architectural and engineering services.
The State Government is working onto develop the Lower Manair River Front Development with adventure and amusement themes. Already, the government has sanctioned Rs.430 crore, including Rs.330 crore for construction of retaining wall to irrigation department and Rs.100 crore for tourism department, said a senior official from TSTDC.
Plans are being made to develop river front from the suspension bridge to the old bridge end, covering a distance of about four kms. There will be adventure sports, amusement parks, restaurants and other facilities for recreation, the official said.
Agencies will have to come up with detailed plans, including architectural designs and themes for developing the river front. Based on the designs, themes and other plans, one agency will be finalized to implementing the Lower Manair River Front Development project, the official informed.
Last week, a coordination meeting was held by Industries Minister KT Rama Rao. The Minister had stressed on the need to develop the River Manair Development Front as a marvelous project than all the other projects in the country. He had also emphasized on setting up a special purpose vehicle or exclusive authority for taking up the project. Besides River Manair Development, the government is working on to set up more IT companies in Karimnagar at the IT Tower.
Already, four check dams have been constructed as part of the River Manair Development Front and works pertaining to another check dam and cable bridge are in the final phase.
