TSWREIS alumni shine as India wins gold at Indo-Indonesia Ball Badminton Series
TSWREIS alumni Sabhavath Babu Naik and P. Shashidhar helped India clinch gold at the Indo-Indonesia Ball Badminton Test Series in Bali, Indonesia. The Association lauded the players’ achievement and recognised their mentors for dedicated training and guidance.
Hyderabad: The Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree & Junior Colleges PDs and PETs Association informed that two of its alumni Sabhavath Babu Naik (Lingala) and P. Shashidhar (Uppalvai), both from Telangana, represented the gold-medal winning Indian team in the prestigious Indo-Indonesia Ball Badminton Test Series at Bali, Indonesia.
India scored an emphatic 3-0 win against Indonesia to clinch the honours.
“Their achievement reflects the strong sporting culture nurtured within TSWREIS institutions and serves as an inspiration to aspiring sports persons across Residential Educational Institutions,” according to a TSWREIS communication.
Dr. Rama Laxman, Chairman of the Association, along with Mr. Narsaiah, President, and Mr. Chander, General Secretary, congratulated the players.
The Association also appreciated the dedicated efforts of Mr. Bhasker Goud, Physical Director, and Mr. Nageswar Rao, Physical Director, for their mentorship and training.
