TTD hands over cheque to Tirupati stampede victim’s family
The compensation cheque was presented to Mallika’s only son, Ramesh, by TTD Board members Naresh Kumar, Ramamurthi, Shantaram, and Krishnamurthy on Friday.

Hyderabad: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) handed over compensation of Rs.25 lakhs to the family of Mallika, a resident of Mettu Salem in Tamil Nadu, who died in the stampede that occurred on January 8 in Tirupati.
The compensation cheque was handed over to Mallika’s only son Ramesh, by TTD Board members Naresh Kumar, Ramamurthi, Shantaram and Krishnamurthy on Friday.
As per the resolution of the TTD Governing Body, the compensation was provided. The Board members took the details of the family to offer a contractual job within TTD to one of the family members.
To ensure the timely distribution of compensation to the affected families, the TTD Board formed three teams. As part of this initiative, the four Board members visited the village on Friday where the deceased’s family resides, handed over the compensation, and offered their condolences.
