Tirumala: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) will complete construction of Sri Venkateswara temple in Kashmir in 18 months, according to TTD chairman YV Subba Reddy.
Talking to reporters here after the TTD board meeting on Saturday, he revealed that as many as 500 Srivari temples would be constructed in Telugu states. Similar temples would be built in Mumbai and Varanasi, he added.
The temples were being built from Kashmir to Kanyakumari as part of the Dharma Pracharam campaign.
The ‘Gudiko Gomata’ scheme -cow for every temple–would be extended,he said, adding that in the past couple of years a lot of decisions were taken by the TTD including cancelling L 1 darshans for the convenience of ordinary devotees.
Subba Reddy said that plastic was banned in Tirumala and special pujas were performed praying for the wellness of people in COVID times.
