Hyderabad: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has announced the release of online tickets for the ‘Special Entry Darshan’ for May. The tickets will be available from 10 am on Monday, February 24. Additionally, the temple administration has also released Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Tiruchanoor ‘Special Darshan’ tickets for March.
The accommodation quota for May at Tirumala and Tirupati will be accessible from 3 pm onwards. Devotees can book their tickets through the TTD website and mobile application. The administration has urged devotees to book their tickets in advance to avoid last-minute inconvenience.
Meanwhile, TTD has introduced new plans to enhance the quality of food provided to devotees visiting Tirumala. While the Matrushri Tharigonda Vengamamba Annaprasada Center already maintains high food quality standards, TTD aims to further improve its services.
TTD operates around 10 large canteens and six Janata canteens in Tirumala. As part of its restructuring plans, the administration is considering handing over Narayanagiri, Annamayya Bhavan, and Balaji Restaurant to Andhra Pradesh Tourism, while the main canteen within the temple premises will be managed by a private organisation.
Among the large canteens, HVDC Bhawanalu, Janata Canteen, and Annapoorna need repairs, while the remaining will be offered to branded hotel chains for management. To facilitate this transition, TTD has initiated the tender process to grant licenses to interested bidders.
