Sangareddy: In a clear indication of his efforts to return to the BRS, which he had quit to join the Congress, Patancheru MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy appealed to trade union leaders to work for the victory of BRS councillors in the February 11 municipal elections.
Addressing a gathering at a trade union workers’ meeting held in Patancheru, Mahipal Reddy called upon them to ensure the victory of BRS candidates in the municipal elections across five municipalities in the constituency. This was the second time in the last one month that he had openly canvassed for the BRS.
Earlier, Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar dismissed the disqualification petition filed by the BRS against Mahipal Reddy after the MLA joined the Congress despite winning the election on a BRS ticket for the third consecutive time from Patancheru.
