Twelve-year-old boy dies as lorry hits bike in Mancherial, father critically injured
A 12-year-old boy died and his father was critically injured after a lorry hit their two-wheeler in Mancherial’s Chennur mandal on Monday night. In a separate accident at Patha Mancherial, a jeep driver injured on Sunday succumbed while undergoing treatment.

Mancherial: A 12-year-old boy was killed on the spot and his father sustained serious injuries when a lorry rammed into their two-wheeler at Katterashala village in Chennur mandal on Monday night.
Police said Kummari Yogi from Algam village in Kotapalli mandal received grievous injuries when the lorry hit the bike, leading to his instantaneous death. His father Rajaiah was also injured in the mishap and was immediately shifted to a hospital in Chennur town, where his condition was reported to be critical.
Based on a complaint lodged by Yogi’s mother, police registered a case against the lorry driver and initiated investigation.
Meanwhile, Kambala Rajesh, 32, a jeep driver from Srirampur, succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Karimnagar. He had received critical injuries when a two-wheeler crashed into a scooter on which he was travelling with his wife and children at Patha Mancherial on Sunday evening. His wife and children were also injured in the accident.
