Hyderabad: The Commissioner’s Task Force (north) team caught two persons on Sunday for allegedly drug peddling and seized six kilograms of ganja from them at Secunderabad.
Those caught are T Akhil Kumar (23) of Suryapet and Madugula Rakesh alias Rockey (24), of Siddipet.
According to the police, Akhil and Rakesh purchased the weed from Gennu, a resident of Araku Valley in Andhra Pradesh and brought it to the city. The duo was planning to sell it at a higher price and was on lookout for customers when they were caught near Alpha Hotel Secunderabad. Both of them were regularly going to Andhra Pradesh and purchasing the contraband.
“Previously they sold it to students near TKR College Meerpet. Basing on the information two consumers Swaroop and Sainath, both of whom are engineering students were caught. Action is being initiated against them,” said Y V S Sudheendra, DCP Task Force.
