Two arrested in Hyderabad teen abduction and assault case, hunt on for minor accomplice
A 16-year-old girl was kidnapped from Charminar and taken to Chengicherla, where she was sexually assaulted by three persons, including two minors. Police rescued her after a complaint was lodged by her relatives.
Hyderabad: A teenage girl was kidnapped from Charminar and sexually assaulted at a double bedroom flat at Chengicherla by three persons including two minors. The police apprehended two of the suspects in the case.
According to the police, the victim, aged around 16 years, stayed with her grandparents at Puppalaguda in Narsingi. On February 2, the girl went to Charminar for shopping and met a boy aged 16 years. Both of them exchanged their phone numbers and started speaking over the phone.
On Monday (February 16), the girl left her house at Puppalguda on the pretext of going to school and reached Pathergatti where she met the boy again.
“The minor boy, along with his two friends who include a minor and one Imran, involved in theft cases took the girl in an autorickshaw to Chengicherla double bedroom houses. They forced the girl to consume alcohol, and later at knife point raped her,” said DCP (Sherlingampally), Ch. Srinivas.
The relatives of the girl approached the police on Monday and lodged a complaint, following which a case was registered. The police, who were making efforts to trace the girl, raided the double bedroom houses at Chengicherla and rescued the girl. She was rushed to a hospital.
The police managed to apprehend Imran, against whom eight cases are registered at Bhavaninagar and also the minor boy who was in touch with the girl. Efforts are on to nab the other minor boy, who is absconding. The girl is undergoing treatment at a hospital and her condition is stated to be critical.
