Hyderabad: Two persons were arrested by the Medchal police on Monday for their involvement in an accident resulting in the death of three persons and injuries to four others.

According to the police, Todeti Balavantha (36) drove his car under the influence of alcohol on Friday and hit a bike resulting in the death K Sudheer (25), who was on the bike, and two others Sara Lavanya (30) and Sara Kaushik, aged four years, who were travelling in an auto-rickshaw, between Athvelly and Rekula Bavi crossroads at Medchal.

The other suspect Dagilla Laxman (49) accompanied him in the car knew that Balavantha was under the influence of alcohol, yet allowed him to drive the vehicle in a rash and negligent manner. The two were produced before a court and remanded.
