Hyderabad: The Balanagar police arrested two alleged burglars and recovered property worth Rs 5 lakh from them on Tuesday.

The arrested are Gonigunta Vamshi Krishna (32) and M Bharath Rajiv Gandhi (23), both residents of Jagadgirigutta and natives of Andhra Pradesh.

According to the police, in the first week of December, the duo, Krishna and Bharath, entered into a building at Balanagar and made away with Rs 4 lakh kept in a table drawer. The burglary came to light the next morning, and the police were alerted.

“After identifying the persons with the help of closed-circuit camera footage, the police registered a case and nabbed Krishna and Bharath. On interrogation, they admitted to their involvement in multiple property offences,” said DCP Balanagar, K Suresh Kumar.
