Karimnagar: Two daily wage labourers died under suspicious circumstances in Karimnagar town on Sunday.

According to police, Mohammad Azim (40), a resident of Hussenipura, and Mahankali Krishna (45) of Kashmirgadda were working as daily wage labourers.

As usual, they arrived at the Tower Circle labour adda on Sunday after consuming liquor. Initially, Krishna collapsed on the ground and, after a few minutes, Azim also fell.

Local people alerted the 108 ambulance service staff, who shifted them to the District Headquarters Hospital. However, doctors declared them brought dead.

Police said they were investigating the case from different angles to ascertain whether the deaths were due to natural causes, consumption of illicit liquor or any other intoxicating substances.

It was learnt that Krishna used to have bouts of seizures regularly.
